  15. GENERAL INFORMATION
  16. Andromeda is a Type 1 postscript typeface designed for use with 
  17. the Macintosh computer and any Postscript¿ Compatible printer. It 
  18. is also Adobe Type Manager (ATM) compatible. Andromeda is also 
  19. hinted to optomize output on 300 dpi or less printers.
  20.  
  21. Andromeda is a complete typeface, consisting of Upper and Lower 
  22. case, special characters, numbers and diacriticals.

  24. ABOUT ANDROMEDA
  25. I designed Andromeda as a futuristic typeface. My concept was "how 
  26. would an OCR typeface look in about one hundred years". While I 
  27. think in about a hundred years computers will be able to read 
  28. about anything that is written, I wrote it anyway.

  30. INSTALLING ANDROMEDA
  31. Installing Andromeda is quite easy, simply copy the file "Andro" 
  32. into your system folder. After that install the fonts contained in 
  33. the file "Andromeda.Bmap" into your system file or into a suitcase 
  34. file using Font/DA Mover. If you have any questions using Font/DA 
  35. Mover consult the Users manual that came with your Macintosh.

  37. CAVEATS
  38. I have tried to make this font as complete and bug free as 
  39. possible. Should you have any problems with this font, please 
  40. contact me at the address listed at the bottom of the document.

  54. SHAREWARE NOTICE
  55. Andromeda is provided as shareware. You may use Andromeda for a 
  56. period of Ten (10) days after you receive the software package 
  57. (i.e. Andromeda and all related files). If you find that this 
  58. package is useful to you, please send me $10.00 (U.S. Funds) to 
  59. the address listed at the bottom of this document. By sending in 
  60. the shareware fee you become a registered user. This means that 
  61. should I have any upgrades to the font, or should I release any 
  62. new fonts or programs I will notify you.

  64. Most upgrades to this font are free of charge, all I ask is that 
  65. when an upgrade is released, you send me a blank disk, and postage 
  66. to cover sending the disk back to you. Also, by becoming a 
  67. registered user, you may use this font in any documents that you 
  68. create. This is a single use license, if you are going to be using 
  69. this font on more than one computer, please send in the 
  70. registration fee for each computer.

  72. You may provide a copy of this font to others, provided that you 
  73. include the entire Andromeda package (Documentation, Bitmap font 
  74. files, Laser Font files and any other files included). You must 
  75. also make them aware of their shareware obligations. If they like 
  76. the font then they must also pay the shareware fee.

  78. You cannot sell, rent, or modify this font without asking me 
  79. permission first. If you are a company that provides PD and 
  80. Shareware software to the public (i.e. Educorp, Somak Software, 
  81. etc.), you must include the entire font package. Also, telling me 
  82. that you have it would be great.

  84. If you find that this package is not to your liking then delete it 
  85. from your system file and remove any copies (archives included) 
  86. that you may have.
